Clark’s Mining Services is a 35-year-old, family-owned engineering and manufacturing company based in Unanderra. We design and manufacture specialised equipment for the underground coal mining and civil engineering sectors, with a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and problem solving.
We are creating a new Senior Engineer role to support our growth and succession plan. This role will work directly under the Managing Director and is a key opportunity for the right candidate to step into a leadership pathway – with room to grow into higher management in the future.

The role
Design and develop products – both additions to our sales line and bespoke customer projects.
Lead and coordinate projects from concept to completion, working closely with tradespeople, office staff, and clients.
Supervise and mentor engineers and trades staff on the workshop floor.
Work with sales staff to ensure products meet client needs and are suitable for market.
Apply your knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and fluid dynamics to innovative projects.
About you
We’re looking for someone who is:
A degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer with 5+ years’ experience in engineering/manufacturing.
Experience with CAD particularly Solidworks is essential
Ambitious and innovative – wants to take ownership of projects and drive them forward.
Practical and people-focused – comfortable working with tradespeople, office staff, and customers.
Task-focused and organised – brings strong time management and can meet deadlines.
Personable – not just a technical thinker, but someone who brings energy and personality to the role.
Experience in pneumatics and hydraulics is highly desirable.
Sales ability and customer-facing confidence will be highly regarded.
